About Us

Andrew Parry Music was formed in 2009 after I graduated from studying music at The University of Manchester. It quickly grew from nothing to being oversubscribed, so I began to recruit like-minded and specialist instrumental teachers. We are now represented in a wide range of institutions and provide teaching and the opportunity of music making to over 1,000 people each year.

Music is my absolute passion, and my main aim is that everyone involved with Andrew Parry Music has fun making music and is encouraged to be creative. We always tailor our teaching to the individual and I encourage my teachers to be individual in their teaching style too. All teachers attend training, child protection safeguarding, CPD, internal and external networking opportunities, and all have enhanced DBS checks.

“My autistic son is really enjoying his lessons with George. He never seemed interested in music until starting his lessons. He now often picks up his guitar to play to us or his friends. It's not easy to direct my son or set an agenda, and George is doing brilliantly getting him to enjoy learning the acoustic guitar”

We cover a variety of music teaching styles in a variety of settings, from traditional 1-to-1 instrument lessons, to small groups, large groups, bands, orchestras, workshops, concerts and choirs. We work in primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, and run teaching outside of schools also, at our homes, your homes, and other venues such as rehearsal spaces. We also run Andrew Parry's Rock School, a set of summer courses where we teach students to rock out!
